Junior’s at Holdens is an independent restaurant in the heart of Whitstable, founded by Luke and Louis, two friends who have worked alongside each other in the food industry for over eight years.

With a shared passion for great food, hospitality and bringing people together, we set out to create somewhere that celebrates the very best of what our local area has to offer, while taking inspiration from flavours and cuisines around the world.

Great food starts with great ingredients.

We believe the quality of a dish begins long before it reaches the kitchen. That's why we work closely with local farmers, fishermen, growers and independent suppliers to source the finest seasonal ingredients available.

From the Kent countryside to the Whitstable coastline, we're fortunate to have some incredible produce on our doorstep. Our menus reflect this, combining familiar favourites with creative, contemporary dishes that put quality, freshness and flavour first.

From breakfast to beyond.

Our days begin with the traditional breakfasts we all know and love, prepared with care using quality ingredients. As the day moves on, our menu evolves into a selection of creative small plates, designed to be shared and enjoyed over a leisurely lunch.

We take inspiration from everywhere, bringing together different flavours, techniques and ingredients while remaining firmly rooted in our local surroundings.

More than just a place to eat.

For us, Junior’s has always been about more than what's on the plate. We want to create a space where people can come together, whether it's for their morning coffee, a long lunch with friends or an evening of good food and drinks.

Throughout the year, we host regular events, themed evenings and intimate supper clubs, bringing something a little different to Whitstable's food and drink scene.

Our space is also available for private hire, with bespoke packages ranging from canapés and sharing plates to carefully curated three-course meals. Working alongside a mixologist, we can create tailored cocktail and drinks menus to make every occasion feel special.

After more than eight years working together, our approach remains simple: source great ingredients, prepare them thoughtfully and create an atmosphere that makes people want to return.
